Johor Bahru is about to welcome another big name in the coffee scene. Popular Chinese coffee chain Luckin Coffee is set to open its first-ever JB outlet at Sutera Mall, bringing its trendy drinks and wallet-friendly prices to the southern state.
Built around a tech-driven concept, the brand has expanded to more than 33,500 outlets worldwide, with 83 stores across Malaysia as of Mar 2026. Besides freshly brewed Arabica coffee, Luckin Coffee is also known for its fruit refreshers, matcha beverages, and limited-time specials that regularly go viral.
Among the must-try drinks is the Coconut Latte, the brand’s global bestseller. Fans of all things coconut can also try the Triple Coconut Latte, topped with creamy coconut foam and chewy coconut jelly, while the Little Butter Latte delivers a rich, silky espresso experience.
For those who prefer something lighter, the menu also features refreshing picks like the Lime Americano and Lime Fizzy Americano, which blend coffee with zesty lime and sparkling soda.
Fruity favourites such as the Grape Refresher and Grape Cheese Cloud have also become crowd-pleasers thanks to their refreshing flavours. Non-coffee drinkers aren’t left out either. Popular options include the Matcha Latte, Matcha Jasmine Frappe, and creamy Chocolate Frappe and Vanilla Frappe.
