Together with the launch of the new Magnum Macadamia Salted Caramel ice cream, the Magnum’s Pleasure Garden at CHIJMES boasts a time of pampering and respite from the hustle and bustle of life from 28 to 31 March 2019.
Step into the very charming allure of Magnum’s Pleasure Garden adorned in golden fairy lights and stunning photo walls. The garden has three parts — the Pleasure Playground, Pleasure Pavilion and The Nursery.
Drawing inspiration from the new flavour, test your skill in Macadamia Croquet at the Pleasure Playground. You can even start your very own mini pleasure garden at home when you head over to The Nursery. Customise your DIY Magnum pot and choose your own plant to be potted!
The Pleasure Pavillion houses what we’ve all been waiting for- the new Magnum Macadamia Salted Caramel ice cream (S$4).
Magnum’s iconic chocolate coating is now encrusted with chopped macadamia nuts in place of the usual almonds. Boosting a different kind of richness and fragrance, Magnum’s chocolate shell has yet to fail.
Beneath the crunchy coating is the salted caramel ice cream. We were hoping that biting into it would resemble biting into a Snickers bar, with gooey caramel oozing from the ice cream.
Instead, like all other Magnum flavours, it was vanilla ice cream with caramel already mixed in. Creamy, sweet and mildly salty, it was indeed a pleasure biting into though I would prefer a stronger caramel flavour.
Some pleasures are worth giving in to and some pleasures like this Macadamia Salted Caramel is irresistibly hard not to have. Complete your botanist journals at the garden and receive a dollar discount for all flavours available at the pavilion!
