In recent times, the vibrant cafe culture in Bangkok has grown immensely. Now that the borders have fully opened, Singaporeans can flock to “The Land Of Smiles” and add another destination to their cafe hopping adventure— Mama Cafe has opened its latest branch by the river on 20 May 2022.

With a quaint-looking mini jetty constructed just outside the cafe, it gives me the same vibes as the ever-popular little blue boathouse in Perth that is one of the hottest selfie spots on Instagram. Mama Cafe’s Ratchada 19 branch gives off a totally different aesthetic as compared to their other nine outlets that are scattered all over the city.

No visit to a cafe is complete without ordering their signature beverages, and Mama Cafe does not disappoint with a list of unique drinks they have on offer.

For those who enjoy mocktails, their Pina~Coff (THB85) is a combination of specially roasted 100% arabica coffee and refreshing pineapple juice. The sweet and sour notes from the pineapple helps balance out the bitterness of the coffee.

Mama Cafe’s Ovaltine Mocha Crunchy Frappe (THB120) provides a satisfactory crunch from the Ovaltine bits that are scattered on top. It certainly complements the chocolatey coffee drink.

For those who don’t take caffeine, you won’t miss out. Opt for their Purple Sweet Potato Latte Frappe (THB95), Mango & Passion Frappe (THB85) or Yoghurt Peepo (THB75) that’s sure to cool you down from Bangkok’s humidity.

Mama Cafe’s Ratchada 19 branch is located at 19 Ratchada Road, about a 400 meter walk from Ratchadapisek MRT Station.

The next time you visit Bangkok, why not escape from the concrete jungle and head on here for a relaxed and tranquil break?
