Don’t go to these markets & hawker centres scheduled for spring cleaning in Apr 2025

Before I’m even ready to start a new month, it’s already time for the 4th instalment of our 2025 monthly hawker cleaning series. Regular washing of wet markets and hawker centres not only maintains hygiene, but also helps keep our eating spaces spotless.

Compared to the extensive list of 80 locations in March, April feels much more relaxed, with only 12 places involved. With that, here is a list of markets and hawker centres scheduled for spring cleaning in April 2025.

7 Apr 2025:

• 112 BM Market & Food Centre (112 Jalan Bukit Merah)

• Telok Blangah Rise Market & Food Centre (36 Telok Blangah Rise)

7 to 8 Apr 2025:

• East Coast Lagoon Food Village (1220 ECP)

If you’re camping overnight, having a barbecue get-together, or just enjoying a relaxing beach day at East Coast Park, do check out our Katong and East Coast guide instead.

7 to 10 Apr 2025:

• Changi Village Hawker Centre (2/3 Changi Village Road)

During these 4 days, those planning a trip to Pulau Ubin or staying around the chalets at Changi Village will need to source for alternative dining spots.

13 to 14 Apr 2025:

• Seah Im Food Centre (2 Seah Im Road)

During these 2 days, if you’ve just finished hiking at Mount Faber or wrapped up a shopping spree at VivoCity, take note.

14 Apr 2025:

• Circuit Road Market & Food Centre (80 Circuit Road)

• Sembawang Hills Food Centre (590 Upper Thomson Road)
• The Marketplace @ 58 (58 New Upper Changi Road)

14 to 15 Apr 2025:

• Golden Mile Food Centre (505 Beach Road)

• Toa Payoh Lorong 8 Market & Food Centre (210 Lorong 8 Toa Payoh)

Fans of Hai Kee Noodle, Tian Tian Fa, and Wanted Western Delights, please don’t make a wasted trip.

21 to 23 Apr 2025:

• Haig Road Market & Food Centre (14 Haig Road)

If you happen to be around the area during these 3 days, check out Aunty Lily Kitchen at City Plaza for some delicious Indonesian-inspired fare. Alternatively, you may also visit Pangi Nut at Joo Chiat Complex for delicious Peranakan-Western dishes.
