MAXI Mango is bringing Philippines’ love for mango to town with their first flagship store here, opening on 2 August 2019. The brand will launch five signature Maxi Mango soft servesMango Graham, Mango Keso (Cheese), Mango Ube (Yam), Mango Coconut, and the Maxi Mango.

The soft serves come in two sizes, 8oz (approx. 240ml) and 16oz (approx. 480ml), and they are priced at S$4.90 and S$6.90 respectively. For the size, I think they’re extremely worth it! Two of us shared the 8oz cup perfectly.

MAXI Mango’s very own signature Maxi Mango is a simple cup of mango soft serve, topped with fresh, sweet mangoes! The soft serve was creamy and thick, and there was a balance between the mango and milky notes.

Mango Graham is one that is popular in the Philippines, and we loved that it was lined with sweet cream! The savoury graham crackers definitely matched the sweetness of the soft serve.

To commemorate the opening, MAXI Mango launches Singapore’s exclusive soft serve flavour — the Mango Coconut — which comes with chunky coconut slices and drizzled with coconut syrup. It’s perfect for our tropical island home!

Another combination which we found to be interesting was the Mango Ube. The cup is lined with purple yam cream, complementing the bright yellow mango. It was a bit too thick for our liking, with the yam taste almost overpowering the mango.

My personal favourite was the Mango Keso, it definitely sounds and looks weird to put cheese and mango together. But I really enjoyed the combination of the salty cheese and sweet mango!

Their flagship store will also carry MAXI Mango’s original Mango Shake and Mango Graham Shake. These shakes are yours for only S$6.90 each.

I can promise you that their shakes are much lighter in taste, with the smooth ice-blend of mangoes. The addition of the crushed graham crackers in the Mango Graham Shake gave it a tasty crunch.

Back home in the Philippines, MAXI Mango holds queues for over four hours! Indeed, their national fruit deserves this much. Let’s hope we don’t have to wait in line that long here.

Dates & Times: Opens 2 August 2019 | 11.30am – 10pm (Daily)
