Ahoy, anime fans and Bikini Bottom residents! Two beloved fictional worlds are colliding as McDonald’s Malaysia introduces its latest Happy Meal collection, featuring SpongeBob SquarePants characters reimagined as members of the Straw Hat Pirates.
Recently launched on 22 Oct 2026, the limited-edition SpongeBob x One Piece Happy Meal toys feature 10 collectibles released in pairs over 5 weeks.
From SpongeBob as Luffy to Patrick as Zoro, the crossover brings together familiar faces in unexpected ways, making this collection worth checking out for fans of both franchises.
The first two toys, SpongeBob x Luffy and Patrick x Zoro, arrive on 22 Oct, followed by Squidward x Sanji and Sandy x Nami on 29 Oct. On 5 Nov, look out for Mr. Krabs x Jinbe and Gary x Chopper, before Larry x Franky and Plankton x Usopp join the collection on 12 Nov.
The final pair, Smitty Werbenjägermanjensen x Brook and Pearl x Robin, rounds things off on 19 Nov.
With 10 characters to collect, you might find yourself making a few extra McDonald’s runs over the coming weeks. They could also make cute additions to your desk or One Piece merchandise collection, especially if you have a soft spot for these underwater misfits.
Getting your hands on the toys is easy, too. Each McDonald’s Malaysia Happy Meal comes with a free toy, while stocks last. You can grab yours through McDelivery, at the Drive-Thru or by visiting your nearest McDonald’s restaurant.
There are several meals to choose from, including Chicken Burger, 4-piece Chicken McNuggets, Cheeseburger, Ayam Goreng McD, Sausage McMuffin and 2-piece Hotcakes.
