Not long ago, we reported that the popular bakery Beccarino’s Patisserie would be closing permanently in Jun 2023. Unfortunately, yet another bakery, Mentega Patisserie, has announced that it will be shutting its doors for good.

Mentega Patisserie will be having its last day of operations at its physical store on 9 Jul 2023. The website will take its final orders on 5 Jun 2023 before shutting down, though customers can still contact them via DM on Instagram to place orders until the physical store closes.

Mentega Patisserie started out as a home-based business during the pandemic in 2020, and later expanded to operate from their very own physical outlet in Alexandra Retail Centre.

The bakery creates both sweet and savoury bakes, including tarts, cookies, swiss rolls, eclairs, whole cakes and more. Their bakes are all beautifully decorated with unique and creative flavour combinations.

Mentega Patisserie was founded by Camille and Shane, who revealed on social media that the reason for the bakery’s closure was because they would be “embarking on a new adventure”. They also thanked their customers for the support they’ve received over the past 3 years of their operations.

Wondering what to get before the closure? Consider trying one of Mentega Patisserie’s cakes, such as the Apple, Speculoos and Cream Cheese Cake (S$55), Taro Hazelnut Cake (S$55), Black Sesame Pear Cake (S$55) and Lemon Pistachio Cake (S$58).

I’m especially intrigued by the Yam Hazelnut Eclairs (S$32 for 8 pieces), which are made with yam pastry cream, yam paste and hazelnut chantilly.

Tart lovers, on the other hand, can opt for their Mini Tarts, costing S$42 for 12 pieces. Select from exciting flavours like Milo Hazelnut, Pandan Horlicks and Yam Creme Brûlée.

Be sure to grab your bakes before Mentega Patisserie closes for good in July. We wish Camille and Shane all the best in their future endeavours.
