“Morton’s going Art Deco”
After a three month hiatus, Morton’s is finally open with a whole new modern Art Deco theme. With a more Great Gatsby 1920-1930s look, the place is absolutely beautiful; matt white walls against a dark gold vaulted ceiling with a dining experience overlooking the Marina bay scenery.
Our wine aficionados will definitely be delighted to hear the installation of 52 new wine lockers – Regular diners are free to keep their favorite vintages/or that of the extensive wine-list available in Morton’s. Most of which now embellish the showcase wine wall.
In this series of renovations, the partition between the restaurant bar and main dining area have also been removed. With the clever use of mirrors and windows that stretch the length of the main dining room, the main dining area looks a lot less cluttered to achieve a better dining experience for customers. Not missing any bit, the cutlery and glassware have been replaced too.
While The Bar@Morton’s remains untouched (with plans to undergo renovation in the early quarter of this year) , the restaurant bar had a mini-facelift too. With a lighted bottle display and a contemporary chandelier overlooking the area, the new french windows provide a more open-concept to the entire place.
And you will be the most interested about this place too, because I was happy to hear that Morton’s Happy Hour was still ongoing, where they very well have no intention of taking it away soon.
From Monday to Saturday 5pm-7pm, enjoy a martini at $14.95 with complimentary Filet Mignon Steak sandwiches served from end to end.
While $14.95 for a martini might seem like nothing much to shout about. Aside from the fact that MORtinis are generously filled with hard liquor, 3oz shots of gin/vodka instead of the regular one shot., the Filet Mignon Steak Sandwiches are to die for. What more could you expect from one of Singapore’s best Steakhouse?
These steak sandiwch babies are ridiculously good. Medium rare to the best degree where the marbled beef simply melts into your mouth – sandwiched in between two pieces of bread with a hint of butter to seal the deal. These sandwiches are an excellent prelude to their Center Cut Filet Mignon ($80) served in the restaurant. The Steak sandwiches and the insanely good alcohol is definitely worth the trip down here to Morton’s.
As a little bonus tip, you might want to attack these sandwiches fresh out of kitchen fast, as they always get snapped up real quick. So be fast and furious once you spot the waiter out from the kitchen.

From a rather brief media event alone, it is easy to see how this 16 year old steakhouse has made itself a name in the scene as one of the nation’s best Steakhouses. The new revamp completes the perfect dining experience here at Morton’s and you have to come down for yourself to see what makes this place just really so darn good.
