I know I’m late to the party, but after finally binging Culinary Class Wars, I now get that fridge-and-chocolate moment — and the obsession with the chestnut tiramisu. If you’ve been dreaming of flying to Seoul to snag the Napoli Matfia’s legendary Marron & Tiramisu Cup (like my colleague Aaron), hold your horses! It’s finally landed in selected Malaysian CU stores

If you’re not caught up on Culinary Class Wars (and don’t mind spoilers), let me fill you in. It’s a wildly popular Netflix show where 100 chefs from across Korea battle it out for the #1 spot.

I won’t bore you with the details, but here’s the highlight: in one unforgettable episode, contestants had to create a dish using ingredients from a Korean convenience store. Enter Napoli Matfia (real name: Kwon Seong Joon) with his genius tiramisu made from chestnuts and cream bun filling.

Not only did it win the episode, but it also stole the audience’s hearts!

In Oct 2024, Chef Kwon Seong Joon delighted fans by launching his iconic creations — the Marron & Tiramisu Kream Bun and Marron & Tiramisu Cup — at CU stores across Korea. And now, these legendary desserts have finally arrived in Malaysia!

You can grab the Marron & Tiramisu Kream Bun at all CU outlets nationwide, while the Marron & Tiramisu Cup is only available at select stores. Check out where to find them here! For more information on the locations of all outlets, click here.

Sink your teeth into soft bun filled to the brim with indulgent cream. Of course, don’t miss out on the Napoli Matfia tiramisu experience — spongy layers with delicate cream in-between, topped with nuts and cocoa powder.

This is your chance to finally taste what all the hype is about — and decide if Napoli Matfia’s win truly lives up to the buzz. As for me? I’m already gearing up to navigate the maze at 1 Utama to get my hands on it!
