Nissin’s cup noodles are everyone’s favourite staple late-night supper snack, and they’ve gone one step further with their latest creation—Cup Noodles Fried Rice With Mystery Meat. That’s right, cup-noodle flavoured fried rice!
Mystery Meat flavour was debuted in the world’s first cup noodle and it’s essentially seasoned minced pork. Apart from that, the fried rice contains eggs and green onions, drizzled in Nissin’s soy sauce and pepper seasoning that is similar to their signature cup noodle flavour. It’s made with domestic rice that is stir-fried at high temperatures, according to Nissin.
This instant fried rice concoction is super convenient, as it can be cooked by simply heating it up in a microwave oven. Alternatively, it can be fried in a pan to give it that charred flavour and also to make the pork more crispy.
So far, Nissin has premiered their top three flavours as part of a cooking experiment on their Twitter: Shio, Tom Yum Goong and Chicken Nanban Soba. It’s hard to say whether these will actually become official flavours of the Cup Noodles Fried Rice line, but seeing how they might make fried rice versions of all their original Cup Noodles makes me really excited.
