A mix of Japanese and Peruvian might not sound like the most obvious cuisine idea, but it works! Nobu proves it every day at 47 restaurants around the world and now, for the first time, in Singapore.

Classically trained sushi-chef Nobu Matsuhisa brings his unique brand of food bearing Japanese techniques and South American influences to Four Seasons Hotel Singapore. ‘Nobu style’ as it is called combines traditional cooking from his home country with ingredients from Latin America.

Nobu Singapore will feature his signature dishes of Black Cod Miso, Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeño, and world class sushi. Also on the menu will be special dishes inspired by local Singaporean flavours and ingredients. The menu is still in the process of being finalised.

“Singapore is an amazing culinary destination with an impressive food scene – so many flavours and cultures to experience in a single place. Being one of my favourite cities with a sophisticated restaurant and bar landscape, I am very much looking forward to bringing Nobu to the gateway to Asia!” Chef Nobu explained.

Japanese culture and cuisine place a great deal of emphasis on ambience and Nobu embraces that concept wholeheartedly. Nobu Singapore will be adjacent to an open-air Japanese garden and bar. It will feature its own entrance through a serene garden set against the city state’s dynamic skyline.

Local fans of Nobu make reservations well in advance of their trips to cities such as Malibu, London, and Ibiza to sample his cuisine. Now, they can do it without having to take a plane trip!
