Japanese cheese tarts…
Just when you think that the hype has ended last year, you are very wrong. Originating from Osaka, PABLO Cheese Tart is the holy grail of all cheese tarts. After its success in Malaysia and Thailand, PABLO will soon be bringing its famous cheese tarts to Singaporeans.
Done “medium rare”, PABLO has a distinctive style of doing its cheese tarts. When I tried it for the first time in Osaka, the filling was melty, gooey and the flaky crust was buttery. To put it in words, I felt like I was having a sweet version of raclette cheese crossed with egg tart.
I’m not super impressed by many cheese tarts in Singapore because I felt that a lot tasted like mediocre spongey cheesecake with dry crust, but I am glad that I’ll soon be able to savour the true taste of Japan that I’ve missed dearly.
