For all you Pasta Brava and Sofi’s Cafe aficionados who have been enjoying their spread of Italian food and keto-friendly fare at The Scarlet Singapore for the past 3 years, great news! They will be relocating to a bigger and better location at 81 Tras Street, just a few minutes walk from Tanjong Pagar MRT station.

Speaking to Restaurant owner, Sofi, who took over the 33-year-old business a decade ago, she said, “it’s with a heavy heart that we are leaving this place after 3 great years, but I’m really excited with our next journey.”

Citing the reason for the move, Sofi sighed and exclaimed, “Who would want to throw away an apple that’s great for health?” Her explanation provides much food for thought.

Sofi’s entire team of 15, including service, kitchen and bar crew have gone through thick and thin with her— some of whom have been with her for over 10 years.

“They have stuck with me for a long time. They are my family, and I consider them a part of myself,” she added.

Now, you might be wondering, will there be an increase in price after the big move? The answer is no! Pasta Brava and Sofi’s Cafe have maintained their price point for the past 3 years, and they’re committed to keeping it the same in their new location.

My personal favourite over here is the Squid Ink Seafood Spaghetti (S$32), which I consider one of the best in Singapore. Theres’s also the Ox Tongue Pesto Risotto (S$32).

Good news for the readers of SETHLUI.COM, simply flash this article at the new location and you’ll be able to receive a complimentary dessert or champagne cocktail with a minimum purchase of 1 main course (offer valid till end August 2024).

Pasta Brava - new location

The new location was formerly occupied by Frenchie Wine Bar, housed in a 3-storey heritage building dating back to 1967.

Sofi says, “For those who missed the vibes at Pasta Brava’s original Craig Road location, you’ll relive it here!”

Pasta Brava - new location ambience

Visiting the unfinished new location, you’ll find the first storey with high ceilings showcasing a terracotta colour palette, seating 35 pax, and evoking the warm, rustic charm of Tuscany. Sofi will also proudly display her 160-year-old handwoven antique carpet, inviting all guests to step onto the restaurant grounds and experience a touch of history underfoot.

The second floor will exhibit a Santorini vibe with its turquoise theme, featuring a private room and whiskey bar accommodating up to 80 patrons. The top floor will feature an open-air rooftop garden adorned with lush fauna for rest and recreation.

Stay tuned to Pasta Brava’s Facebook and Instagram for updates on their opening date for their new location. You can still visit their current Erskine Road outlet till the last week of July.
