This one’s for all you fellow foodies—mark your calendars! Savour Park @ Sentosa, possibly Singapore’s largest food truck festival, is happening from 13 to 15 Sep and 20 to 22 Sep 2024 between 3pm to 10pm.
Located at Palawan Green, this two-weekend festival offers a perfect blend of delicious food and vibrant vibes, with 16 different food trucks ensuring there’s something to satisfy every palate.
But it’s not just about the food— there’s plenty to do beyond the trucks. From a Kombi Photobooth to Tarot Readings, and even joy rides in vintage cars, you’ll be fully entertained throughout the day. The best part? It’s pet-friendly, so bring your fur babies along for a good time!
Here’s a taste of what to expect at Savour Park Sentosa:
Food Trucks
With 16 food trucks, you’ll be spoiled for choice— trust me, I was. While I didn’t manage to sample all 16 trucks (even my stomach has its own limits), my colleague Dean and I still tried a few, so here’s a heads-up on the ones you shouldn’t miss.
Ashes Burnit has been all over my Instagram and TikTok feed, and for good reason. Run by a group of young hawkers, they’ve taken the island by storm with their halal-friendly elevated burgers.
We tried the Ashes Classic Cheese Burger (S$10++), featuring a juicy single patty with their signature sauce, encased in their famous charcoal buns. Every bite was indulgent, and they swapped fries for potato chips, which made the dish feel lighter— an interesting twist!
Next up was CCOOK, another halal-friendly option. Known for its hearty pasta dishes, we opted for the Truffle Mac & Cheese (S$14) for that extra indulgence. The truffle flavour was prominent but not overpowering, making it a creamy, cheesy delight. Just a small tip: eat it while it’s warm – we got carried away taking photos.
We also took a drink break with Black Sugar, a Hong Kong-based coffee chain specialising in unique coffee concoctions. We ordered the Citrus Breeze (S$10), a coffee mocktail combining espresso, citrus juice, oolong tea, Earl Grey syrup, and Seedlip, a non-alcoholic spirit.
It’s been established that I’m not a huge coffee drinker. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how smooth and refreshing it was— a great thirst-quencher in the Singapore heat.
For something more filling, we tried the Tropical Hawaiian Hotdog (S$12.90) from Rollin’s. Famously known as the OG cheese crust hot dog, the dish certainly lived up to its cheesy reputation. While it didn’t quite give me Hawaiian pizza vibes, it was still a solid hotdog and super satisfying.
Last but certainly not least, desserts. We had the Instagram-famous Rainbow Cheese Toast (S$7) from Malaysia-based establishment, Cheezuto. Though more sweet than savoury, the rainbow cheese pull made for a fun and aesthetically pleasing treat.
We also couldn’t resist their Rainbow Jelly Balls (S$4)— adorable and fun to eat, especially if you’re a jelly lover like me.
Lastly, we indulged in a little boozy adventure with Savour Park’s in-house bar featuring Clumzy Plumzy. We opted for the Sour Plum Vodka Slushie (S$15), a refreshing, zesty drink that perfectly blended the tang of sour plum with the clean, smooth taste of vodka.
Activities at Savour Park Sentosa
Beyond the trucks, there’s also a ton of engaging activities suitable for all ages.
Highlights include the Jagua Ink Tattoos by Shameless.sg, where you can choose from a variety of designs— or bring your own— starting from S$15.
A personal favourite of mine was the Tarot Reading by Jitui Tarot. With intuitive insights, she’s ready to answer any questions and doubts you may have going on in your life. Prices start at S$18 per question, but if you’re keen on a deeper dive, she offers a 60-minute session for S$68, where you can ask unlimited questions.
Up for something a little more riveting? Take a Joy Ride in a Vintage Car (S$10 per ride). Pick between a 1935 Austin Steve Ruby or a Land Rover for a casual spin around the festival grounds— wind in your hair, style points maxed out.
For photo ops, step into the quirky Volkswagen Kombi Photobooth by Alternate VP, complete with fun props and backdrops. Gather your loved ones (or get some solo shots) and capture the moment – also, the first 100 guests get their prints for free!
Lastly, wind down your day with their Sundown Cinema which transforms the space into a magical outdoor movie experience from 7.30 pm onwards.
