There’s good reason for fans of Rainie Yang to be on cloud nine: Rainie Yang’s concert will take place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on 24 Aug (Sat) after a 5-year hiatus.

The Taiwanese singer, known for her R&B and pop singles, last performed at The Star Theatre in 2019. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to take a rain check at her concert this year as it is a one-night event.

Since her debut in 2000, Yang, who is also known for having acted in the popular pan-Asia hit Taiwanese TV series Meteor Garden (2001), has become a prominent name in the Mandopop scene. In 2005, she released her debut album My Intuition, which sold over a million copies. Since then, she has released 12 studio albums and 2 compilation albums.

Like A Star (2020) is Yang’s twelfth studio album. Meant to celebrate the 20th year of her debut, it also signifies her return to dance music, including genres such as trap and trance.
