After over 2 months of renovations since Jul 2024, S11 at 711 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 8 finally relaunched on 10 Oct 2024. 5 days after the opening, I decided to swing by to check out the 18 stalls.

As compared to the old premises, the refurbished space is much more airy and ventilated. The stalls also feature vibrant signage, adding to the overall appeal of the atmosphere.

amk s11 - ban mian

The first 24-hour stall that caught my attention was Da Tou Ban Mian (大头板面). If you’re crazy about noodles, come slurp up a bowl of Ban Mian Soup (S$4.80), Scallop Ban Mian (S$7.20) or Tom Yum Ban Mian (S$5.80).

A little birdy had also mentioned that the Signature Pig’s Liver (S$4) here is a must-try. So if you’re a fan of innards, it’s highly recommended.

chao yue

Located just next door is Chao Yuan Noodle, another 24-hour stall that’s perfect for folks seeking makan options in the wee hours of the morning. If you’re craving Laksa (S$5), Handmade Fishball Noodles (S$5.30) or Abalone Minced Meat Noodles (S$6), here’s the perfect spot!

If you’re out with your kakis and one of them suggests mookata, get him to foot the bill (just kidding) at 711 New Korat Mookata. Indulge in the 90-min Buffet for S$24.90 per adult and S$12.90 per child.

You can also enjoy Thai delicacies like Pineapple Fried Rice (S$5.80) and TomYum Seafood Soup (S$6.50).

Love gelatinous and collagen-rich pig trotters? Then Pork King Knuckle Rice dishes out plates of Pork Trotter Rice (S$4.90) and Whole Trotter (S$20). You can also pair it with sides like Salted Vegetables (S$1.50) and Braised Pork Belly (S$3.50).

penang stall

If it’s been a while since you headed to the ‘pearl of the orient‘ for a vacation, settle for a quick fix at Penang Delights with Penang Prawn Mee Soup (S$6.50/S$8.50/S$11), Penang Lor Mee (S$5/S$7/S$10) or Penang Style Dry Mee (S$7/S$10/S$13).

amk s11 - chix wings

Still feeling peckish after your main meal? Don’t worry! Huat Huat serves munchies including Popiah (S$3), Kueh Pie Tee (S$4), Huat Huat BBQ Chicken Wings (S$1.80 each, min. 3 pieces) and Rojak (S$5/S$6).

第11街 Teochew Fish Soup serves bowls of Sliced Fish Soup (S$6.80/S$9.80), Twin Fish Soup (S$7.80/S$10.80) and Red Grouper Sliced Fish Soup (S$10.80) to warm you up on a cold, rainy day.

With over 85 menu items, Haji S.M. Hatheem serves a plethora of Indian Muslim favourites like Cheese Prata (S$2.90), Chicken Briyani (S$7.50) and Mutton Murtabak (S$8/S$10/S$12).

amk s11 - 2 stalls

Been a while since you had Western fare? Then eat your fill at AMK 711 Hainanese Western, savouring dishes like Salted Egg Yolk Chicken (S$9), Spaghetti W Chicken Cutlet (S$8.80), Spring Chicken (S$6.50) and Fried Rice W Pork Chop (S$7.30).

I also spotted Hwa Heng Beef Noodle where you can get the Signature Mix Beef Noodle w/Tendon (S$9.50/S$12) and Mix Beef Noodle (S$7.50/S$9).

So, fellow foodies, if you’re feeling hungry, head over to S11 for a meal after your grocery run at FairPrice, and discover what other delectable delights await you!
