When I say that Punggol is an area filled with hidden food gems, I am certainly not kidding. After hunting out Selera Sumang Nasi Padang, I’m proud to introduce Satay Sumang, a brand new hawker stall serving sticks of meaty delights situated at Sumang Walk

Satay Sumang is, in fact, a nasi padang stall by day. Known as Selera Padang, the stall sells authentic Malay cuisine such as Nasi Lemak (S$3.50), Mee Soto (S$3.50) and Lontong (S$3.50).

Satay Sumang comes to life later from 4pm to 10pm selling delicious sticks of skewered meat available in flavours like Chicken (S$0.80 per stick), Mutton (S$0.80 per stick), Beef (S$0.80 per stick) and Tripe (S$0.80 per stick).

Perfectly seasoned and kissed with a beautiful char, these mouth-watering satays are said to be filled with a sweet-savoury flavour that is irresistibly good and addictive.

As part of the deal, every order of satay from Satay Sumang comes with popular condiments such as ketupat (steamed rice cakes), cucumber, onions and their house-made peanut sauce.

My fellow seafood lovers will be glad to know that the eatery also serves up sticks of beautiful orange BBQ Prawns (S$2 per stick). Fresh, juicy and filled with briny flavours, these BBQ Prawns makes for a great snack especially when eaten together with the fragrant peanut sauce.

If you are looking to cater to a gathering with friends and family, Satay Sumang also offers three combo meals, namely the Mixed Combo (S$24), Special Combo (S$44), and Family Combo (S$69), catering to the needs of both large and small groups.
