SAVOUR 2016 is fast approaching, and you wouldn’t want to miss the chance to bask in a three-part edition of food and drinks festivals, which are styled in exciting themes to indulge in throughout the year.
SAVOUR Gourmet will be happening from 12 May through 15 May 2016 at Marina Bay and kick starts the festivities by bringing together the best restaurants in town, featuring uprising homegrown chefs to showcase their impeccable culinary skills.
Be treated to an array of unique dishes that will pique your palate, along with cocktails to merry away, while being serenaded with live music by the Bay.
As part of the DBS Live Your Dream initiative, you will be invited to vote for the best dishes created by these talented chefs—their fate lies in your hands as they compete for the title of ‘Emerging Chef Singapore 2016’ and take home $25,000 in cash and prize.
Keep your eyes peeled on the dishes that will be featured at the event, like team Buona Terra’s succulent Gambero Rosso (Red Prawns), made by chef William Bai with mentor Denis Lucchi; or team Gattopardo’s glazed Baby Octopus With Bell Pepper Aioli and Sundried Tomatoes, by Kenneth Oh with mentor Lino Sauro, amongst many other tantalising dishes.

Beef Curry by Guest Team R&D – Eric Chong (Masterchef Canada Winner) with mentor Alvin Leung ($12).
Bbq Pork Ribs by Team Salt Tapas & Bar – Ronald Li with mentor Luke Mangan ($12).
Lobster Pasta by Team Saveur Art – Tyler Lai ($12).
Chendol by Team Labyrinth – Han Liguang ($6).
These gourmet dishes will only be served in limited portions, so avoid disappointment by coming down early to the event to sample dishes from other reputable restaurants, including Artichoke, Lower East Side, just to name a few.
For the first year ever, admission is COMPLIMENTARY! Prices of the dishes at the Gourmet Village are reduced to $6 and $12, which will be conveniently accepted in both cash and credit.
Jasons Gourmet Market will be back again this year to offer the finest imported produce from around the world, from the freshest seafood catches, like the oyster bar that promises the widest selection of sauce pairings, to a wide range of cheese selections, and exquisite wines to cool off from the heat while you chill out at the terrace.
If you’re looking to be more creative in the kitchen, there are a series of enriching mini master classes to up your cooking ante. Learn how to transform ingredients that can be found from the Jasons Gourmet Market into delectable dishes you can easily whip up at home.
