Korean food would be nothing close to authentic without the incorporation of spicy elements. We’ve got tteobokki, kimchi and buldak to testify for that. Homegrown Korean restaurant Seoul Yummy is set to excite fans of spicy food with their new Seoul Spicy Menu available from 1 April – 30 June 2019 at all outlets islandwide.
Their new Seoul Spicy Menu boats a spread of ten numbing but moreish dishes inclusive of stews, mains and side dishes.
The Dak Bokkeum Tang Stew (S$26.80/S$12.80 for individual pot) features a South Korean stir-fry chicken soup not commonly found in Singapore. Served with Seoul Yummy’s homemade spicy soup base with Korean spicy noodles and fresh chicken chunks, it’s a stew that’s sure to satisfy spicy food lovers.
The equally well-liked Seafood Jjamppong Stew (S$28.80/S$13.80 for individual pot) stars a special soup broth of Korean spicy paste and salted fermented shrimps served with a spread of fresh seafood and Jjalmyon (Korean wheat noodle) that absorbs the sweet and spicy flavours of the soup.
Both fiery hot stews are back on the menu by popular demand since they were introduced as seasonal dishes in mid-2018 and available in three levels of spiciness. The Fire Rice with Chicken (S$11.80) and Fire Japchae (S$11.80) are some mains crafted exclusively for the Seoul Spicy menu.
Following the spicy theme is a wide selection of side dishes to look forward to, including their Fire Fried Chikin (S$6.80), Korean Fire Mapo Tofu (S$6.80) and Kimchi Dumplings with Jjamppong Mayo Sauce (S$7.80).
For a satisfying and hearty meal, opt for their Too Spicy Combo (S$38.80) which comes with a choice of stew, appetiser and two homemade Ice Lemon Tea. If a little heat can’t stop you, be one to finish the Level Three stew and be rewarded with a 30% discount!
We’ve actually tried and conquered the Level Three spicy stew last year but let’s just say it wouldn’t have been possible without downing some drinks and desserts. So if you’re up for a more-than-spicy challenge, be sure not to miss out on Seoul Yummy’s.
