The team at SethLui.com is proud to announce the first-ever SL100 Awards slated for September 2021, which sees 100 most recommended restaurants and hawker stalls in Singapore recognised for their impeccable fare. The awards programme was created to give the public a quick and comprehensive reference for where they can find good food while also helping to raise awareness for Singapore’s top culinary talents, especially during a particularly challenging year for the hospitality industry.
The categories span across an even split of 25 categories each of restaurants and hawker stalls, with public voting of the Hawker categories currently open till Wednesday, 30 June 2021. SL100’s food categories include Western and regional Asian cuisine, recognising the best of savoury and sweet dishes such as burgers, ramen, and souffle pancakes, along with local favourites such as laksa, mee rebus, oyster omelette, and ban mian.
It also roped in the expertise of F&B personalities such as Chef Bjorn Shen (Chef-Owner of Artichoke Singapore), Dr Leslie Tay (Founder of ieatishootipost), and Veronica Phua (former Burpple ambassador) who assisted in creating a robust list of nominees along with insights from SethLui.com’s editorial team.
The Hawker categories are all open to public voting through SethLui.com’s Facebook group, Food Appreciation & Events Club Singapore. All you have to do is join the group and place your votes to have a say in which of your favourite stalls will be crowned one of the top food spots in that food category.
This list—for both Restaurant and Hawker categories—will be narrowed down to the top three selections per food category, followed by unannounced tastings done by the SethLui.com team and judges from the F&B community to
choose the final two winners for each category.
Be sure to stay tuned for more details on the SL100 Awards right here on SethLui.com, and join the Facebook group to have your voice heard in the public hawker nominations. The full list of winners will be announced in September 2021.
Happy voting!
