The Singapore International Festival of Arts (SIFA) is set to make its return from 17 May to 2 Jun

The festival will feature an array of new productions, international showcases, and engaging programmes for everyone to enjoy.

Presented by Arts House Limited (AHL) and the National Arts Council (NAC), this annual festival showcases a fusion of artistic creativity from both local and international talents across diverse art forms.

With this year’s theme, The Anatomy of Performance – They Declare, SIFA 2024 celebrates a diversity of perspectives and invites audiences to embrace open-mindedness towards various beliefs.

The festival features local line-ups that include a theatre performance, The Prose and the Passion by Haresh Sharma and Chong Tze Chien, the collaborative theatre piece Tomorrow and Tomorrow, and Genevieve Chua‘s performance installation Wilful Machine, among other captivating programmes for all to enjoy.

Additionally, the festival features an array of international acts, including the opera performance, Sun and Sea by Rugilė Barzdžiukaitė, Vaiva Grainytė, and Lina Lapelytė, the puppet show, Moby Dick by Yngvild Aspeli, dance performance, The Romeo by Trajal Harrell, and many more intriguing performances.

Furthermore, families and children can participate in the exclusive Little SIFA programmes. Little SIFA presents an array of exciting and engaging activities, including Leonardo! A Wonderful Show About A Terrible Monster and The Dancer’s Fair.

Leonardo! A Wonderful Show About A Terrible Monster is a musical theatre puppet show that features illustrated paper puppets, two-dimensional props, and endearing furry monster puppets.

Meanwhile, The Dancer’s Fair offers an enchanting performance with a 5-meter-tall ballerina and various old-school fairground attractions. These include the children’s Ferris Wheel, Little Carousel, Hammocks, and other unique experiences designed for both children and adults to enjoy.
