Sandwiches have never looked better. Stacked, a new gourmet sandwich business, offers chunky sandwiches stacked with a variety of fillings, living up to their name.

Stacked only makes 30 sandwiches daily, which can be pre-ordered on their website a day in advance for either pick-up or delivery from their store in Kovan. Each sandwich is made with their own bread using a house specialty recipe, and comes with a side of tapioca chips.

The sandwich that looks the most enticing to me is the hefty Mighty Mala Sandwich (S$14), filled with crispy mala-marinated chicken thigh, Spanish red onions, tomato, baby romaine lettuce and mala mayonnaise spread. You can also select from three different spice levels.

The Cheeky Katsu Sandwich (S$14), on the other hand, is loaded with katsu-style fried chicken thigh with tomato, baby romaine lettuce, pork floss, Japanese mayonnaise, curry mayonnaise, melted Emmental cheese and a sunny side up egg.

Seafood lovers can try out the Sassy Seafood Sandwich (S$13), containing minced crab meat and tiger prawns in a dressing of mayonnaise and Spanish red onions, jalapenos, red chillies, a mix of fresh herbs, baby Romaine lettuce, egg mayonnaise, and melted Emmental cheese.

Meanwhile, a vegan option is the Avo-Bello Sandwich (S$15), filled with roasted portobello mushroom, arugula, grilled peppers, zucchini, tomatoes, avocado, eggplant puree and vegan mayonnaise.

If you’re looking for a healthier alternative, Stacked also offers a selection of eight salads, including Katsu Green (S$12), which comes with fried chicken katsu, or the Caesar Salad, in the variations of Anchovy, Pancetta or Chicken for (S$10), or Prawns for (S$12).

With such a wide selection of ultra chunky artisan sandwiches, Stacked certainly has my attention.
