One of Havelock’s neighbourhood cafes, Sunbeam Café, has announced its closure for 10 Jul.

A Facebook post from Sunbeam Cafe’s official account broke the news — a simple and saddening “Last day 10th July”. The café was known as a child-friendly space, with board games and children’s toys for customers. Their menu includes both sweet and savoury options for families to enjoy.

However, Sunbeam Cafe isn’t going to let its closure dampen customers’ spirits. For the days leading up to 10 Jul, a 50% discount will be applied to the whole menu. It’s a bittersweet send-off for the void deck café.

The café’s signature fare includes classic Belgian Waffles with Ice Cream (S$3.75). You could also get the Waffle with 1 Main (S$2.75), with a choice of kaya, peanut, honey or Nutella for a local twist.

To beat the Singapore heat, get the Fresh Coconut (S$2.50) juice or an icy Vanilla Milkshake (S$2.45). They are perfect as accompaniments to any cake or main dish!

Sunbeam Cafe also offers Apple Pie (S$2.25), topped with a generous drizzle of caramel sauce and a scoop of ice cream. For those who enjoy savoury treats, they’ve got Pepperoni or Margherita Pizza for S$1.50 a slice or S$5 for a whole pizza.

If you’re popping in during the evening to relax and unwind, there’s cold bottled beer up for grabs. From Heineken (S$4.95 per bottle) to Guinness (S$4.95 per bottle), choose your favourite brew and take some time for yourself. Just drinking beer might be a little boring, so get some Curly Fries (S$2.25) for a quick bite.

Remember, this promo will never come back, so head down before Sunbeam Cafe’s closure on 10 Jul. While enjoying a meal, let’s all celebrate their time at Havelock and wish them the best in their future!
