Sung Kang, best known as Han Lue from the Fast & Furious franchise, is reportedly coming to Malaysia this October for Tokyo Auto Salon Malaysia 2026.

The actor is expected to make a special appearance at the automotive event, which will take place from 2 to 4 Oct 2026 at Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS).

Kang’s appearance was teased in a post by JP Origin, although organisers have yet to reveal exactly what he will be doing at the event or when fans can catch him in person. More special guests are also expected to be announced.
If confirmed, his appearance would make plenty of sense given Kang’s long-running connection to car culture.

He first played Han in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, before returning for Fast & Furious, Fast Five and Fast & Furious 6. He later reprised the role in F9 and Fast X, turning Han into one of the franchise’s most recognisable characters.
Outside of Fast & Furious, Kang has also been involved in various automotive projects and appearances over the years, so seeing him at an event dedicated to car culture feels pretty fitting.

Previously known as Tokyo Auto Salon Kuala Lumpur, this year’s event is expected to feature indoor and outdoor automotive showcases, modified cars, aftermarket products and live demonstrations. There will also be event-exclusive merchandise, including mini wheel models, apparel and stickers.
Ticket details and the full programme have yet to be announced, so there is still plenty to look forward to. For now, local Fast & Furious fans might want to keep October open as Sung Kang could be pulling up in Malaysia soon.
