Throughout the past two years, many F&B businesses had to close their doors due to COVID-19. Thankfully, one restaurant that initially shut down, Love, Food Club, has reopened in a new location under a new name: The Shakehouse by Love, Food Club.

The Shakehouse by Love, Food Club is a Muslim-owned family restaurant with a variety of Asian and Western delights on their menu. It is open till 2am, making it a great place to head to if you’re looking for supper.

Formerly situated in Little India before it closed in 2021, The Shakehouse by Love, Food Club has relocated to Tessensohn Road, between Boon Keng and Farrer Park MRT.

Branding itself as a comfort food restaurant, The Shakehouse by Love, Food Club offers a selection of familiar local dishes, like Beef Fried Kuay Teow (S$8.90), Seafood Horfun (S$8.90), Spicy Chicken Ramen Basah (S$10.90) and Beef Ribs Rendang (S$25.90).

Meanwhile, their Western menu consists of dishes like Squid Ink Pasta (S$17.50), Seafood Aglio Olio (S$20.80) and Flame Grilled Ribeye (S$25.90).

If you’re feeding the whole family, try the Shakehouse Meat Platter (S$65.90 for one to two pax, S$85.90 for three to four pax), which comes with prime ribeye, beef ribs, roasted chicken leg, smoked chicken sausage, chilli corn, mixed salad and their house sauce. Be sure to end off your meal at The Shakehouse by Love, Food Club with a delectable dessert, like their Chocolate Molten Lava Cake (S$9.50) and Salted Caramel Lava Cake (S$9.50).

It’s heartening to see the return of F&B businesses that shuttered in the last two years due to struggling business from the rapidly changing COVID-19 measures, and I look forward to rounding up my supper kakis for a late-night meal at The Shakehouse by Love, Food Club.
