Delicate beauty and handmade sweets collide in this exhibition of Yokan, a traditional Japanese dessert. The Yokan Collection – Singapore Edition brings sweet Japanese flavour to sunny Singapore on 28 & 29 October 2017.

Visitors can look forward to tastings featuring the storied sweet, and even live demonstrations of its preparation by famous Japanese confectionery masters.

A chewy, jellied dessert made of azuki beans, kanten and sugar, a slice of Yokan encapsulates the minimalist essence of Japanese culture. While it may look simple in appearance, its creation tells a story of food and design, and holds the weight of Japan’s cultural history.
