Toast Box has always been my go-to for morning coffee and a hearty breakfast. When I’ve worked up an appetite, I always opt for a bowl of their flavourful mee rebus.
To celebrate this Chinese New Year, Toast Box launched four limited-edition items which will be available until 8 February 2020.
If you’re a fan of savoury snacks, I expect you’ll enjoy their Golden Yam Cake Bites 炸芋头糕 (S$3), a bite-sized classic snack made with shiitake mushrooms, fried shallots, peanuts and dried shrimp.
This delectable dish is lightly garnished with spring onions and served with a plate of fragrant garlic sauce. A Golden Yam Cake Set with a warm cup of kopi or teh is also available at S$4.50.
To satisfy your sweet tooth, Toast Box also launched a timeless classic dessert—Tang Yuan in Red Bean Soup 红豆汤圆 (S$2.80). Dried orange peel and pandan leaves are infused within the warm red bean soup, so expect a tinge of subtle tanginess and a beautiful aroma to the dessert. Sweet potato and taro rice balls will also be served in this aromatic dish.
If you’re looking to add to your Chinese New Year snacks collection at home, Toast Box won’t disappoint you this year with their melt-in-your-mouth Cereal Cookies 麦片饼 (S$18.80) and Peanut Butter Kueh Kapet 花生酱蛋饼 (S$18.80).
The Cereal Cookies feature a rich, buttery shortbread dotted with crunchy cereal flakes, and the Kueh Kapet are filled with rich, creamy peanut butter which creates perfect harmony between sweet and savoury.
Of course—it wouldn’t be Chinese New Year without the Chinese New Year deals. You can purchase a bundle of two jars of snacks at S$30.
Make your way to Toast Box this Chinese New Year and grab your tasty festive snacks today. I’m sure you’ll be able to satisfy your new year cravings.
