Jenjudan is back with a new look! Introducing Truedan, one of Taiwan’s famous brown sugar beverage brand.

Started in 2010 at the famous Shilin Night Market in the heart of Taipei, Truedan has been whipping up high-grade drinks for the mass.

To celebrate its second outlet in Singapore, Truedan unveiled their new taro drink.

Here we have Truedan’s new Brown Sugar Taro Milk (S$5.90)! Unlike the distinct purple colour that we often see in a taro drink, Truedan’s Brown Sugar Taro Milk seemed paler in comparison. Appearance can be deceiving, for what they lacked in colour, they made up for it in flavour.

Every slurp had bits of taro swirling around, giving the drink a chunky consistency that other taro drinks may not offer.

I was fortunate enough to try five of their signature drinks available on the menu too.

Starting from the left, we had Oreo Brown Sugar Boba Milk (S$5.90), Thai Milk Tea With Brown Sugar Boba (S$5.30), Brown Sugar Boba Milk (S$5.30), Brown Sugar Taro Milk (S$5.90) and lastly the only non-dairy option—Passionfruit Green Tea With Nata De Coco And Brown Sugar Boba (S$5.90).

I personally enjoyed the Thai Milk Tea With Brown Sugar Boba most. The bitterness of the tea was well-balanced with the sweetness of the brown sugar boba, making the drink the best of both worlds.

Truedan also offers you an upsize at just S$1.30, except for their Oreo Brown Sugar Boba Milk, Brown Sugar Boba Milk With Milk Foam and Brown Sugar Milk. You can get additional toppings of either brown sugar pearls, grass jelly, pudding, red beans or nata de coco at just S$1.

Up for grabs are also these limited-edition beverage tote bags for customers who purchase the new taro beverage from CityLink mall and Orchard Gateway outlets! Do note that there are only 800 pieces, so hurry down to get yours before they are out of stock!

These are definitely some quali-tea drinks! What is your favourite boba drink?
