In a media release on Oct 15, world-leading entertainment giant Warner Bros. Discovery announced the launching of its streaming platform Max in Singapore on Nov 19. Singapore will be 1 of the 7 Asian markets Max will be available, joining Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
CEO and President of Global Streaming & Games at Warner Bros. JB Perrette stated that infiltrating Asian markets is part of the next phase of Max’s globalisation efforts. The streaming platform will now be available in over 72 markets.
Subscribers can look forward to beloved blockbuster movies and series or reality TV programming from different brands. From HBO, and Cartoon Network, to Discovery, TLC and Food Network, there is something for everyone to enjoy!
Look out for content from HBO Originals such as House of the Dragon from the Game of Thrones series, The Last of Us and True Detective. Max will also feature a breath of blockbuster Hollywood films that include Harry Potter, Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning and many more!
Having shut down the Cartoon Network website in Aug, Max will be home to a wide selection of content from Cartoon Network for kids and families to enjoy! This will delight fans of old classics such as Tom and Jerry and Looney Tunes!
Warner Bros. Discovery has revealed that Max will offer 2 subscription plans – Standard and Ultimate. While more information on subscription prices has yet to be announced, keep your eyes peeled for more news to come as prices will vary across countries and providers.
