Winnie's 2

Tucked away in One-NorthWinnie’s is an up-and-coming bubble tea shop that might potentially be a game changer for bubble tea in Singapore. We dropped by and tried a few of their speciality drinks.

When we tried the Apple Milk Topped Afternoon Black Tea (S$4.90), it’s the first time that we have seen apple milk froth.

The foam has a slight tartness that enhances the sweetness of the black tea. We recommend fully mixing the foam into the tea to get an extra kick of crisp apple flavour that lingers in your mouth.

The Organic Fuji Apple Green Tea (S$4.90/Small, S$5.50/Large) is a healthier option for those who dread that post-bubble tea guilt. Winnie’s uses an entire apple for every drink as a natural sweetener and apple bits for garnish.

There was also apple pulp within the drink, so you can be sure that it’s all-natural. Remember, an apple a day keeps the doctor away, so give this drink a try!

We also tried the Lychee Rose Nectar (S$4.10/Small, S$4.90/Large). This light and refreshing drink is perfect for hot afternoons.

I liked the aloe vera bits inside, that gave a crunch to every mouth. Not many other bubble tea shops offer lychee-infused drinks, so come down to Winnie’s to get your fix.

Winnie’s wide variety of drinks comes from their factory in Taiwan that constantly does R&D for drinks.

With so many choices, you can definitely find a drink to fit your taste buds. In fact, they offer new pearl options every month to shake things up.

With all these new and innovative flavours, they are definitely giving the bigger bubble tea chains a run for their money. I’ll leave it to you to decide which is the better bubble tea shop!
