Remember the Bring Your Own Egg for a plate of S$2 char kway teow we featured previously? It seems like Chef Dominic from Liang Ji Kway Teow King managed to gather all his fellow vendor-friends in Xin Tekka to join him in re-igniting the Kampong Spirit this National Day!
In addition to Liang Ji Kway Teow King, eight more vendors have partaken in the ‘BYOE’ (Bring Your Own Egg) promotion, retailing some of their promotional dishes at merely S$2—that is, if you bring your own egg, of course.
Through this promotion, the vendors at Xin Tekka hope to play their part in giving back to the community that has shown them much support and patronage over the years.
Located in the newly-opened Tekka Place Mall, Xin Tekka might be a relatively new food hall but it features a stellar line-up of local hawker legends, comeback restaurateurs, and new-generation food entrepreneurs.
The BYOE promotion will be ongoing from 1 – 9 August 2020. Diners can bring your own egg to enjoy dishes at S$2, otherwise, all promotional dishes will be at S$2.50 throughout this period.
From Char Kway Teow, Hakka Noodles to Chinchalok Omelette and Sausage & Egg Apam Balik, here are the participating vendors and promotional dishes you should take note of for a delicious yet affordable meal.
With the variety of dishes available, its time to gather your eggs in a basket and head to Xin Tekka with your family for a hearty meal!
