If you’ve been anywhere on the internet in the past few months, you’ve probably seen the viral cheese coin pancakes that have overtaken social media. While this unique dish is most commonly found in other Asian countries, you can now easily find it in Singapore at 10 Cent Pancake.

10 Cent Pancake is a new store in Tanjong Pagar Plaza that opened on 19 Apr 2024, specialising in the viral cheese coin pancake. This unique treat originated from South Korea and Japan, with their 10 yen coin pancakes and 10 won coin pancakes taking the internet by storm.

While cheese coin pancakes have made appearances in Singapore before via pop-ups, this new cafe is a permanent fixture, ensuring that you’ll be able to get your pancake fix anytime you want.

What makes 10 Cent Pancake so uniquely Singaporean is the fact that each pancake dons the design of our iconic 10 cent coin, hence the name.

The trendy cheese coin pancakes are most recognised for being extremely cheesy, with them garnering plenty of attention online for their satisfying and stretchy cheese pulls.

Despite the store’s name, each pancake costs S$5, and is generously filled with mozzarella cheese.

Aside from the cheese coin pancake, diners can enjoy classic cafe drinks such as Black Coffee (S$5), White Coffee (S$5) and Oat White Coffee (S$6), available in hot and cold variations.

At the moment, the cafe only sells one pancake flavour, though who knows if they’ll expand to explore different fillings and combinations in the future?
