If you frequent the many restaurants in Bugis, you’d be delighted to know that a new dessert store has just opened recently called 100labs. Specialising in waffles, gelato and sweet beverages, the cafe finds itself in the heart of Sultan Gate, and comes as the perfect place to go to for a sweet treat with your friends after a hearty meal.
Like steak, 100labs serves its waffles with varying levels of “doneness”—depending on how crispy you want them to be. You have an option of either medium-crisp or well-crisp, and whether you want your syrup drizzled over your waffle or served on the side.
A 100labs signature is their Buttermilk Waffles Oomph! (S$7, S$9.90 for a single scoop gelato and S$12.90 for double scoops), which is best enjoyed with a wide selection of 12 different gelato flavours (S$3.50 each) —Vanilla, Pistachio, Hazelnut Rocher, Dark Chocolate, Honey & Figs, Lychee/Mango Sorbet, Banana Nut Crunch , Wild Berries, Taro Yam & Coconut, Hojicha and Coconut Cream.
Topped with strawberries, blueberries and Nutella sauce, the Berry-ful Oomph! Waffles with Single Scoop Gelato (S$13.90) comes as an irresistibly sweet dessert option while the Norwegian Smoked Salmon with Oomph! Waffles (S$14.90) is great if you want a heavier meal.
Drinks come by way of Strawberry Milkshake (S$6), Sea Salt Thicc Chocolate (S$5 hot,S$6 iced) and Ondeh-Ondeh Latte (SS$5 hot, S$6 iced). 100labs are also having a promotion for coffee, where you can get yourself an 8oz cuppa for only S$3 if you visit on Sunday from 12pm to 5pm—so it’s definitely a must-visit the next time you’re out for a Sunday brunch, if you ask me.
