Arab Street is home to many great places to grab a delightful beverage, be it % Arabica or my personal favourite tea spot, Broti. As of 9 May 2023, there will be a new coffee joint to pick up a cup of Joe. Introducing, 60 Alley Bakes and Coffee!

A rather intriguing note about 60 Alley Bakes and Coffee would be its location. Rather than a normal storefront, this coffee spot has a hole-in-the-wall concept. This may just be Singapore’s first back alley F&B joint.

Their menu is on the lean side, with only coffee, waffles and cookies as of now. This much is understandable, as 60 Alley Bakes and Coffee had just launched. Rather than a dine-in cafe, this place offers their items for takeaway.

Having stemmed from the home-based business Ayn Cookie Madness, selling bakes like their Nutella Pods (S$15 for 20 pieces) and Signature Chocochip Cookies (S$10 for 30-35 pieces) is to be expected. In my humble opinion, the Biscoff Pods (S$15 for 20 pieces) would make a perfect snack for tea time!

For beverages, 60 Alley Bakes and Coffee obviously offers coffee as their main drink. Using Arabica coffee beans, the main few offered are Latte (S$6)Cappuccino (S$6), Americano (S$5) and Mocha (S$6.50).

Their Waffles (S$2.50 for 1, S$3 for 2) are inspired by Singapore’s old-school ones, with an assortment of fillings to pick from such as Kaya, Peanut, Chocolate and Blueberries. Where else can you find waffles at S$2.50 around this area?

I do hope 60 Alley Bakes and Coffee expands their menu, as this back alley concept could make them a big hit, especially as it’s around the popular thrifting scene.

Oh, to be living out the classic window-shopping life while enjoying a sip of coffee. If your curiosity is just as peaked, be sure to stop by to see what all the fuss is about!
