Nasi Lemak Burger @ Makansutra Gluttons Bay: This Alternative With Otah Rice Patties Is Way More Authentic Than McDonald’s, Available Till End Aug ’17

If you’ve missed out on trying McDonald’s new Nasi Lemak Burger, don’t worry — we’ve found the perfect alternative, which may be even better. Makansutra Gluttons Bay has specially created a Nasi Lemak Burger for National Day and will be selling it from now until the end of August 2017.

One of the highlights of the burger is the otah rice patties, wok-fried for a crispy exterior whilst remaining fluffy on the inside. Nestled within the otah patties is a fish fillet, sunny side-up, ikan bilis, nuts, sliced cucumbers, and of course, our favourite sambal chilli. 

Just by the looks of it, I daresay Makansutra Gluttons Bay’s Nasi Lemak Burger will be more authentic than McDonald’s. The burger is made up of almost all the elements of a classic nasi lemak found in hawker centres — except for the lack of a deep fried chicken wing.

I’m almost salivating while writing this, so try out this new Nasi Lemak Burger before it’s too late (or if it gets sold out too).
