If you have a sweet tooth, you know that Lady M is one of the best places to grab a slice of mille crepes.
The New York cake boutique has opened its fifth outlet in Jewel Changi Airport, with a 50-seater open-concept space. The signature light marble tones add a touch of sophistication to your afternoon tea.
You can look forward to a range of new offerings from Lady M, including a new menu with savoury bites, a line of bon bons and seasonal cakes.
Try the Crab Salad (S$17.90), which consists of sweet and tender crab meat served with pickled Japanese cucumber, fresh dill, crème fraiche and toast. This juicy and refreshing bite is great for times when you just feel like nibbling on something small.
For those who feel a bit hungrier, choose from three different sandwiches.
The Chicken & Herby Pesto Sandwich (S$9.50) comes with chicken breast coated with homemade green pesto and grilled ciabatta bread. The chicken was surprisingly juicy and tender for breast meat, and the pesto wasn’t overwhelmingly “green” — a win in my books!
If you want something more savoury, the Ham & Aged Cheddar Cheese Sandwich (S$10.90) is just the thing. With generous slices of smoked ham and shaved aged cheddar cheese, this sandwich comes with pickled red onions for a tangy finish.
My favourite was the Grilled Fresh Mushroom Sandwich (S$9.50), because the grilled mushrooms marinated with balsamic vinegar were perfectly juicy and piquant. The rich and savoury cream cheese added some textural contrast too.
Lady M also introduced two tasty soups to whet your appetite.
The Creamy Cauliflower Soup (S$9.90) came with toasted almonds, adding a nutty flavour to the light broth.
Thick and tangy, the Hearty Tomato Soup (S$9.90) was a comforting dish I couldn’t help but finish.
If you like pistachios, Lady M’s Pistachio Mille Crepes (S$9.50, available from 1 May to 30 June 2019) will satisfy those cravings. Paper-thin crepe layers alternate with nutty and sweet light cream, and the cake is topped with crushed pistachios.
Lady M is also launching its Bon Bon sets which come with 23 different flavours in packs of three (S$33.50 – S$39.50), five (S$54.50 – S$64.50) or eight (S$85 – S$101).
My favourite was the Cognac Orange Liqueur Chocolate, a smooth blend of tangy orange notes and caramel hints from the cognac. The white chocolate shell added just enough sweetness and milky flavour as well.
