Nothin’ I can see but you when you dance, dance, dance.

Once the airy disco beat to “Can’t Stop The Feeling!” drops, I can’t help but be reminded of the scene in Trolls where Poppy, Branch and their group hairy colourful friends bob around the screen enticing the Bergens (those large, nasty, miserable creatures) to dance with them.

I love Trolls, and it is definitely one of my all-time favourite animation. With all the elements of successful a musical animation—colourful characters, catchy songs and positive messages that are easy to understand—no wonder it’s a box office hit garnering the likes of both the young and old.

A sequel comes naturally with the success of the first movie and when DreamWorks Animation announced its upcoming sequel—Trolls World Tour, I was excited. I mean, who can imagine those small, candy-like creatures all punked out in rock and roll outfits (think black eyeliner and fierce ear piercings) banging their heads to the sounds of electric guitar and crazy drum beats!

To make things better, in celebration of the official opening of Trolls World Tour, Singapore’s very own Willy Wonka, Janice Wong, has collaborated with Universal Brand Development to launch an exclusive range of Troll Edible Crayons (S$18).

We all know Janice Wong, not only as a patissier but more so a culinary artist who is always striving to push beyond boundaries, exploring and introducing us to her world of edible art.

In fact, these Troll Edible Crayons are not considered new creations as Janice has been selling edible art supplies—Chocolate Crayon Box of eight (S$36) and Chocolate Paint Jar Set of five (S$69)—in her outlets around Singapore and online.

Available in a set of eight, the Trolls-themed chocolate colouring crayons come in different colours and flavours packed in different Trolls character packagings. Apart from the crayons, each box also includes two colouring sheets (sadly, they are inedible) to bring out the artist in you.

Before Trolls World Tour hit our theatres in Spring 2020, why not embrace the Trolls spirit this holiday season by spreading love and happiness to your family and loved ones through a box of Trolls-themed chocolate crayons?

For once, you won’t have to worry about keeping unused crayons. Just shove them into your mouth when you are done colouring!

Dates and Time: Available now at Janice Wong Singapore outlets, including Changi Airport Terminal 3 Departure Hall and online

Price: A box of eight crayons for S$18
