Thanks to the endless creativity from the masters in the culinary world and never-ending search for new food trends, we are now being exposed to the unpredictable land of food hybrids—a category of food that can surprise, delight or disappoint.
From cronuts to cruffins, my all-time favourite French pastry, croissants, have also evolved with this trend and this time around, it is something on the savoury side. A CroBurg.

Available exclusively at Spize Temasek Club till 1 March 2020, the CroBurg (S$23.90) features a croissant-like pastry enveloping a 400-day grain-fed Australian wagyu beef patty, specially imported from Melbourne, Australia. It is further complemented with a sunny-side-up egg, truffle aioli, caramelised onions and melted cheddar cheese that is sure to delight with every bite!

As compared to a regular croissant, the CroBurg bun is made using a premium range of halal flour and French butter. By utilising a unique folding technique, more folds are created in the baking process resulting in a flakier and denser crust.
The beef patty, made with F1 Australian wagyu, is seasoned only with smoked salt and seared over a flat griddle, extracting its natural flavour without the use of any other seasonings, oil or artificial binders during the cooking process.

Now available at Spize Temasek Club, the CroBurg comes with a set of golden-brown curly fries and a mesclun salad with truffle vinaigrette and pine nuts. An exceptional and wholesome dining experience that is not to be missed!
