It was nothing short of a challenge to put Singapore on the map, and this year we’re hoping to do it once again with our application to be included in UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage list, with Singapore’s hawker culture.

Tapau Please (wp)

In our 17th episode of ‘Tapau Please’ by SethLui.com—yes, we’re so proud of how far we’ve come so far—we speak about something that’s close to not only our co-hosts’ hearts, but we’re confident everyone else’s as well. Singapore’s submission of its hawker culture to this esteemed UNESCO list is certainly an exciting step for an element of Singapore culture that’s so ingrained in our heritage.

Zat & Wani break down the what, why, and how; what is this list, why is it significant, how will it affect the current and future state of our hawker culture? It’s certainly an informational and educational episode for all, regardless if you’re a foodie or otherwise.
