If you have conquered our list of 12 best bak chor mee stalls in Singapore, here’s a brand new recommendation. Located at Hougang Avenue 8 is Gimee Face Noodle House, a two-month-old hawker stall selling one of our favourite dishes—you guessed it—bak chor mee

One glance at Gimee Face Noodle House’s vibrant green and gold stall front and you will instantly feel a different kind of vibe from the eatery. This is not your normal minced pork noodle stall. Co-owned by the owners of Tenderfresh and Cat & the Fiddle, this bak chor mee stall serves up to 10 different types of noodles ranging from a traditional Original Pork Noodle (S$3.80) to a modernized bowl of hearty Braised Pork Rib Noodle (S$5.50).

If spice is your vice, then don’t miss out on their Spicy Volcano Mee Kia Soup (S$6.80). A mix between spicy ramen and soupy bak chor mee, this bowl is packed with enough heat to help you break a sweat this sweater weather. Did I not mention that the dish also comes with an ajitama egg? Just look at that gooey, glossy centre. YUM.

Complementing your bowl of bak chor mee, Gimee Face Noodle House also has two side dishes for you to share—Heibee Hiam Pork Liver (S$3.80) and Heibee Hiam Duo Ball (S$4.80). Whilst the pork liver might be an acquired taste, the Heibee Hiam Duo Ball will surely delight with the different textures from meat and fishballs as well as the kick of heat from its spicy shrimp sauce.

Just the names and pictures of these dishes have me salivating. If you are a sucker for meaty, umami-filled noodles like I am, give Gimee Face Noodle House a try. The hawker opens daily at 5am, so if you are up early and not sure where to grab a bite, this is definitely a hearty choice!
