There’s a gorgeous new cafe in town for you to feature on your Instagram. Amika Cafe & Bar, which opened on 8 May 2022 in Serangoon, offers a stunning variety of both Asian and Western dishes, including some fusion foods.

Amika Cafe & Bar’s dishes come in all colours of the rainbow. Indulge in their all-day brunch, like their Amika Bagel (S$22), which comes with a 64°C egg, smoked salmon and smashed avocado atop a toasted and buttered bagel.

For their mains, you can choose to have classic Asian dishes like their Wagyu Beef Donburi (S$24) and Miso Salmon Donburi (S$19), or Western fare like the Prime Ribeye Steak (S$26), served with healthy greens and truffle Hollandaise sauce, or the Grilled Salmon Linguine (S$22), which features pan-seared salmon with linguine in green pesto or cream sauce.

Can’t decide between Asian or Western? Why not have both with Amika Cafe & Bar’s unique fusion dishes? The Laksa Pasta (S$18) combines spaghetti with homemade creamy laksa sauce, prawn roe, tiger prawn, tobiko and grated cheese to create a fantastic fusion of Italian and local flavours.

Meanwhile, the Char Siew‘ Pork Ribs (S$24) come with sous vide tender pork ribs seasoned with char siew sauce, putting a Singaporean twist on a classic Western dish.

Don’t forget to order one of Amika Cafe & Bar’s gorgeous, colourful drinks in vibrant shades of purple, pink, green and even blue! The drink that stands out to me the most is their Taro Latte (S$6.50), boasting a lovely lavender hue. Another unique drink would be their Charcoal Latte (S$7.50), which stuns with its black colour and slight indigo tinge.

Amika Cafe & Bar has by far some of the most aesthetically pleasing dishes that I’ve ever seen in a cafe. With their unique assortment of dishes and drinks, don’t be surprised if you catch me spam-posting them on my social media.
