Durian season is back. And if that’s not enticing and heaty enough, news of a hunk with six pack abs selling durian has been going viral on social media. Introducing the aptly named Muscle Durian, a newly established durian stall in Kepong run by college students Ashton and Jake.
Young durian seller, Ashton had shared a shirtless photo of him selling durians on the Chinese social media platform Xiao Hong Shu along with a cheeky caption— “After Jordan Yeoh, now it’s my turn to sell durians!”
For more context, Jordan Yeoh is a Malaysian celebrity fitness instructor who who bears an uncanny resemblance to Jay Chou became an Internet sensation for selling durians shirtless a few years ago.
“Muscle Durian began as plan between me and my friend,” said the 19-year-old who is about to begin his software engineering course in Tunku Abdul Rahman University College next week. According to Ashton, his durians range from D24, Musang King, Muar Gold Durian or D101 and the Tekka species. He added that he sources his durians from Bentong.
The thirst trap have seemed to do the trick. He explained that he has been getting quite a lot of responses for his durians. He hopes that his business will continue to grow and become more successful.
