Unfortunately, yet another cafe will be leaving the F&B scene in Singapore. Clinton St. Baking Company will be officially shutting down its operations in the country after seven years.

This was announced via a social media post by Clinton St. Baking Company on 11 August 2022, which revealed that the cafe’s last day of operations would be on 30 August 2022.

Their outlets in New York, USA and Tokyo, Japan, will still be open.

Clinton St. Baking Company is an American business that opened its Singapore outlet along Purvis Street in 2015. The cafe quickly gained popularity for its fluffy pancakes, waffles and giant milkshakes.

Clinton St. Baking Company offers all-day breakfast, including their famous Pancakes with Warm Maple Butter (S$21), Brioche French Toast (S$20), which comes with caramelised bananas, fresh strawberries, roasted pecans and warm maple butter, and Buttermilk Biscuit Sandwich (S$19), containing soft scrambled eggs, double-smoked bacon, house-made tomato jam and a side of hash browns.

Their lunch and dinner menu is served from 11.30am onwards, with dishes like Chicken & Waffles (S$22), containing buttermilk fried chicken with honey-tabasco sauce and warm maple butter drizzled over a vanilla buttermilk waffle, and a Black Angus Cheeseburger (S$25), which comes with a beef patty, cheddar, shredded romaine, pickles, onions, tomatoes and a side of fries and slaw.

A vegetarian option would be the Veggie Sandwich (S$22), made with seven-grain toast filled with avocado, Swiss cheese, tomatoes, romaine, sprouts and herb mayo, served with sweet potato fries and dressed greens.

If you’d like to head down for a final taste of Clinton St. Baking Company’s dishes before they leave the country for good, be sure to make a reservation to avoid disappointment.
