The food options available on our island never seem to stop increasing, and I’m definitely not complaining. Hello September, and hello a to a new kid on the block. Tsukimi Hamburg opens its doors to the public at Jurong Point Shopping Centre on 1 September 2022.  It offers a range of Japanese hamburg donburi and hamburg steak dishes at pocket-friendly prices.

Over at Tsukimi Hamburg, each freshly-grilled hamburg steak is a clever blend of US beef, pork and Miyazaki Wagyu beef, which optimises the flavours and textures of the juicy meats. They’re served in various interesting combinations that I’ve never encountered before. Let’s take a look at some of them.

The Kinoko Hamburg Steak Teishoku (S$16.80) features sauteed mushrooms placed meticulously atop the hamburg steak, served with a mustard sauce and rice. For a touch of luxe, the Foie Gras Hamburg Teishoku (S$19.80) comes with foie gras in a demi-glace sauce.

For those who regard cheese as one of the best foods to ever exist on Earth (like myself), the Raclette Cheez Hamburg Steak Teishoku ($16.80) comes with a blanket of melted raclette cheese poured over your hamburg steak— I’m wiping my drool off with a tissue.

If you’re a meat-lover, the Bacon Hamburg Steak Teishoku (S$16.80) comes with a slice of thick-cut bacon and wafu onion sauce. Must try!

Want to entice your taste buds with some spice? Order the Spicy Sakura Ebi Hamburg Don (S$11.80) (sakura ebi prawns dressed in garlic chilli oil and grated radish atop a juicy patty on a bed of rice) or the Wasabi Hamburg Don (S$11.80), which is served with wasabi pickles for an extra oomph.

In celebration of its opening, they’ll be offering the following promos:

  • S$5.80 for any Donburi on 3 & 4 September 2022
  • S$5.80 for Tsukimi Hamburg Donburi and S$7.80 for any Teishoku Set on 24 & 25 September 2022

If you’re heading to Jurong Point Shopping Centre, remember to pay Tsukimi Hamburg a visit— I sure will!
