But what happens in between? Toppen Shopping Centre in Johor Bahru has the answer: Appreciate the beauty of Ramadan while prepping for Syawal festivities at their Karnival Bazaar Raya Toppen 2023 from 24 Mar to 20 Apr 2023.
This month-long event is taking place in 2 locations in the mall. The Bazaar Ramadan is located at Toppen’s Outdoor Car Park and runs from 4pm to 12am. If you don’t want to leave the comfort of the air-conditioned mall, you can visit the Bazaar Raya at Level 1, Main Atrium and Ground Floor, Sub Atrium from 10am to 10pm.
There are rows of food stalls selling dishes like fried baby crab, kuey teow basah, and baklava, as well as live performances by local musicians. If you’re too busy to make your own kuih raya, you can also choose from the wide selection of sweet delights. They have pineapple jam tarts and chocolate chip cookies among many others.
Toppen Shopping Centre is the ultimate destination for all of you last minute raya shoppers. There are vendors selling different styles of clothes for the perfect raya outfit— from traditional baju kurung to batik shirts, everyone’s bound to find something they like.
At Toppen, you can even go for a picnic on the rooftop. The mall will be hosting Iftar at The Topp, where you can lay down a mat and break your fast under the sky from 6pm to 9pm. Don’t worry about having to find a place to perform your prayers, as the mall has 3 prayer rooms located at levels 1, 2, and 3.
A visit to this event is guaranteed to put you in the raya mood.
