Mr Meepok is not a new name in the fusion hawker stall circle— it has already been featured in a host of publications, thanks to its unique Japanese-local flair. Now, Queenstown folks can enjoy their Japanese-style bak chor mee in Mr Meepok’s new outlet at ABC Brickworks Food Centre!

Weaving Japanese elements into the Singaporean classic, Mr Meepok provides a modernized take that stands out from typical hawker fare. Founded by 3 youngsters, Mr Meepok went through months of recipe research and development. Given their current popularity, it’s safe to say that all that hard work paid off.

Originally, they had 2 outlets — one at Amoy Street Food Centre and one in a coffeeshop at Clementi. However, with the Amoy outlet closed, this branch becomes their second operational outlet.

Thanks to their booming business, Mr Meepok’s new outlet does not have fixed opening hours just yet. Having sold out a few days in a row, this Japanese fusion joint has garnered a lot of popularity within just a week of opening.

Mr Meepok 2nd outlet — Dishes

Their menu offers 5 dishes; 3 are fusion bak chor mee and the other 2 are local dishes Laksa (S$5) and Handmade Fishball Noodles (S$4).

New in town: Fook Kee Ipoh Famous Claypot Noodle — claypot crispy noodle’s 1st branch in SG

Mr Meepok’s classic Signature Minced Meat Noodle (S$5.50) comes with an onsen egg and a few slices of mock abalone. Not to worry, as elements of the original favourite like minced meat and mushrooms are included.

Mr Meepok 2nd outlet — The Daily Noodle

However, The Daily Noodle (S$6.50) is equally as enticing, being the stall’s only mazesoba dish. With ramen noodles topped with minced pork, 2 slices of marinated pork belly, an onsen egg and seaweed, these noodles captured hearts with the first bite.

Mr Meepok’s new ABC Brickworks Food Centre outlet is another fine stall to visit whilst you are there! Perhaps you can even stop by Jin Jin Dessert to get some local desserts for a sweet treat.
