Already famous for their extremely intriguing pastries, The Lunar Rabbit Boulangerie soft-launched a new cafe in the heart of Tanjong Katong on 22 Jul 2023. With their outlet-exclusive croissant item, there will surely be lots of hype for this new spot!

Pastry connoisseurs recognise the croissant as a “no easy feat” pastry as it is prepared in a series of complicated technical steps, each of which can easily end in an epic fail. So, the fact that the bakery’s founder went to famed Le Cordon Bleu Tokyo to hone his craft, you can tell that the viennoiseries here are no joke.

Now, there’s no need to go all the way to their original Lavender outlet to try out the goodies! The Lunar Rabbit Boulangerie’s new branch in Tanjong Katong has a maximum capacity of 40 pax and is much bigger than its first one. They also have hot dishes, desserts and beverages to pair with your pastries.

Most will be excited to try Lunar Rabbit Boulangerie’s new Tanjong Katong exclusive item — Croissant Ice Cream, which is their classic croissant filled with an elegant swirl of brown butter soft serve. Buttery from the croissant and an umami-packed punch from the soft serve, this sweet treat makes for quite the unique dessert.

2 hot dishes are on the menu at Lunar Rabbit Boulangerie’s new outlet. The Croque Monsieur (S$13.80) is the most anticipated, thanks to its hefty serving of ingredients. In between the crunchy, thick sandwich hide honey-baked ham, Mornay sauce, cheese, scrambled eggs and arugula. Talk about a balanced meal!

A drink is provided with each hot dish, with a choice of classic handcrafted beverages like Caffe Latte (S$4/5 for hotS$5/6 for iced). Personally, the Mint Milk (S$4.50/5.50 for hotS$5.50/6.50 for iced) will be my go-to as someone who craves refreshing drinks.
