If you ever asked me where to order ban mian, I would recommend L32 Hand Made Noodles (手工面). They need much introduction as their Geylang flagship has over 1,000 reviews. They’re one of my favourite noodle joints and I often head to the Tampines 1 outlet to get my fix so I’m sad that the branch is going to close on 31 Mar.

L32 Hand Made Noodles boasts of having noodles made fresh to order. They also don’t solely offer ban mian but U-mian, mee hoon kway, bee hoon and mee sua as well. Their ingredients are said to be fresh and their soup is MSG-free.
L32 Hand Made Noodles opened their Tampines outlet on 15 Feb 2021. So, it’s disheartening that they will be closing just a little over a month after their upcoming anniversary. I decided to ask why they were moving out. It was explained that the Tampines 1 management did not renew their contract with the Kopitiam food court. As a result, tenants like L32 Hand Made Noodles have to leave.

If you’d like to check them out before their closure or to say your goodbyes, maybe grab a warm bowl as you do. My recommendations are the Chicken Cutlet Noodle (Dry/Soup) (S$6.50), Fishball Ban Mian (Dry/Soup) (S$6.50), and Pork Noodle (Dry/Soup) (S$5.50).

There are noodles for spice lovers as well. You can order L32 Hand Made Noodles’ Mala Dry Noodle (Pork) (S$6.50) or their Tom Yum Noodle Soup (Pork) (S$7). They even give you an option to add Mala Paste (S$1) to any of their other menu items if you prefer.
While I am sad to see them go, I suppose we can all look forward to their upcoming Bedok outlet instead. It’s set to open on 1 Mar at 211 New Upper Changi Rd (Bedok Central).
