I’m not sure if everyone shares this sentiment, but for me, nothing beats the thrill of enjoying a delicious supper compared to a nice dinner. Having grown bored of the usual haunts like mamak and loklok, I’ve been eagerly scouting for new options. And I have now stumbled upon BBQ Doubtful Life, located at Taman Abad.
BBQ Doubtful Life specialises in Szechuan-style BBQ, providing a variety of options to choose from, all priced affordably from RM1.90. There is outdoor seating available at the restaurant where you can relish tasty skewers while relaxing in a camping chair. Not only is this spot situated near JB CIQ, it also remains open as late as 4am!
The skewers range in price from RM1.90 to RM10.90 depending on the colour. Meat, veggies, and seafood are among your many alternatives. Feel like you would like a little more? Consider ordering the Emotional Noodle (RM13.90) or Taiwan Braised Pork Rice (RM9.90). You can customise the noodles to your preferred level of spiciness by selecting from 5 different levels.
Their menu features a whimsically-named series called ‘Die Die Must Try‘, which features Grilled Scampies (RM34.90) that’s prepared with giant freshwater prawn. The dish offers a selection of 8 sauces: Sawadee Green Sauce, J Sauce, Mentai Sauce, Garlic Best Sauce, Cheese Leng Sauce, Mayo Reddy, Teriyaki Sauce, and Very Specio Sauce.
In addition to their hot dishes, they also have cold dishes like the Chuka Platter (RM24.90), comprising kurage, hotate, and idako.
