Kopitiam @ Compass One has undergone a pretty big facelift inspired by the area’s history as a fishing port. Sengkangers (is that the right term?) now have a new mecca for dining options. There are over 15 new hawker stalls, serving up traditional favourites as well as more modern delights.

Located on level 4 of Compass One, the first thing one sees when glancing over at Kopitiam is bright neon signs advertising drinks, desserts and fruits. You can’t miss it.

Notable stalls include HJH Maimunah Mini, an 8-time Michelin Bib Gourmand awardee. Since 1992, they have served traditional fare and gained a reputation for authentic Malay and Indonesian cuisine. The hawker stall offers set meals as well as dishes like Mee Soto and Lontong.

Another Michelin Bib Gourmand awardee, Shi Hui Yuan has also taken up shop. This is the brand’s first food court outlet since its original stall in Mei Ling Market & Food Centre.
They specialise in hor fun covered in a thick herbal sauce, served with a variety of meats. Their sauce uses over 30 herbs and contains 1500mg of collagen. At this particular outlet, offerings have also been expanded to include kway chap.

Ha Lou Hokkien Mee brings a taste of Malaysia’s street food with their Hokkien Mee, Char Kway Teow, and Oyster Omelette. They also sell fried bananas in case you want to end on a sweet note.
Not hungry enough for a full meal? There’s also Ann Chin Popiah, one of the most beloved popiah brands in Singapore. They are known for their signature handmade popiah skin, and their traditional popiah can be had here as well as kueh pie tee.
With this many dining options under one roof, there’s something for everyone at the new Kopitiam @ Compass One. Why not head on down to check it out?
